Some recommendations for our out-of-towner guests.
Flight
There are two major airports near San Francisco.
SFO
San Francisco International Airport is the nearest airport. Drive time is about 30 minutes. Taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts are easy to get. We do not recommend renting a car.
OAK
Oakland International Airport is farther out, but can be more convenient for direct flights. Drive time is about 50 minutes. Taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts are easy to get. We do not recommend renting a car.
Lodging
Our shuttles will stop at the Kimpton Alton in Fisherman's Wharf, but there are many hotels within two blocks.

Shuttle Line
Fisherman's Wharf
There are many hotel options within a short walking distance of the shuttle stop / Kimpton Alton. We'd recommend choosing one within 2-3 blocks of the Kimpton. The bride and groom are not staying in the area, so please feel free to shop around and pick the location that best suits your needs.

Airbnb
There are amazing Airbnb options in the city and they all have some San Francisco charm.
The wedding is in The Presidio, our shuttles run to Fisherman's Wharf, and we live in the Inner Sunset. We recommend staying away from the Tenderloin, Financial District, and South of Market (SOMA) neighborhoods.

Shuttles
Two buses will run between the Kimpton Alton Hotel and the wedding venue. There will also be a dropoff at a local karaoke joint after the reception.

If you miss the 2nd bus, please call an Uber or Lyft to the wedding venue at 135 Fisher Loop.

Karaoke Dropoff
Both buses will make a dropoff pitstop at the Silver Cloud bar for late night karaoke & drinks. Please note that those who disembark the bus for karaoke will need to call their own car home.
Final Hotel Dropoff
The buses will leave the karaoke dropoff and continue on to the Kimpton Alton Hotel. They'll unload everyone at the same spot they picked up earlier in the day.
Getting Around
We recommend Ubers, Lyfts, and Taxis for most of our guests.
Driving
For those flying in, we do not recommend renting a car. Ubers and Lyfts are fast and easy to get in SF. If you just want a car for the day to visit an area outside of the city, please consider Get Around or Turo.
For those staying in Fisherman's Wharf, we do not recommend street parking. It is a tourist area and has become a focal point of car break-ins.
Wedding Parking
There are about 20 paid parking spots available at the wedding and reception venue. Additional public parking lots can be found nearby. Please drive responsibly.
